I’m Pavi Chance, one of the co-editors of Driftwood Art and Literary Magazine, and I'll be writing a column to accompany each issue we publish in which I’ll talk about literature and review books I’ve read. I’ve been an avid writer for a long time, and an avid reader for even longer, and I’m excited to get a chance to talk about a form of media that has had such a strong impact on me. I’m also excited to be involved in a project that provides Edmonds-Woodway students with an opportunity to share their artistic creations with a wider audience. Not only is this beneficial for the artists themselves, but by sharing their work, they have the potential to inspire other students to engage in creative activities of their own. Though all members of the editorial team are seniors this year, we hope that underclassmen will carry on the magazine after we've graduated, and that our school will continue to celebrate student creativity for years to come.
