The world is really a movin’ place. From events both natural and man-made, the one thing that connects every living thing on this planet is our mutual existence on Earth. However in many—and arguably most—cases there’s a real disconnect between each person and the world around them. Consequently, this portion of Driftwood will be dedicated to acquainting ourselves with and understanding the world around us. Whether it’s politics or philosophy, events of organic, social, or supernatural sort, we’ll talk about them. This piece is one whose boundaries are only limited by what we dare to question, and furthermore what we attempt to see, so come at it with open eyes and open mind. It won’t have a strict rubric to follow, and will differ from post to post, but will always rearrange the way we see the world around us, and thus is dubbed “World Piece,” as it is worldly in nature. Maybe, as in this post, I’ll leave you with a quote or concept for your brain to chew on, and maybe I’ll leave you with an image, podcast, or article. In return, I ask you to leave me a note either in person or via email, with a question or concern about the world, and together we’ll look at ways to answer it.
Yours,
Nate
